MECA’s Architectural & Structural Engineering design group has facilitated building design, bridge construction and large-scale flammable liquid storage for a wide range of projects. MECA specializes in providing complete solutions, utilizing finite element analysis, catastrophic failure analysis, structural modeling, and material analysis. All Personnel have extensive structural experience, which encompass specialties in the areas of design, erection, retrofits and upgrades.

MECA has provided quality structural engineering services for a variety of Clients such as: Cleveland Cliffs, Praxair, Inc., BP, U.S. Steel, Ford Motor Company, SunCoke Energy, Feralloy, National Materials, Steel Technologies and Formosa Plastics. We've provided complete design, construction management, and oversight for multiple rail, vehicle bridge, and infrastructure projects; material handling and filtration for the Lime Plant at Cleveland Cliffs Indiana Harbor facility; structural support design and rehabilitation of the RHOB Turntable at Cleveland Cliffs Indiana Harbor facility; marine inspection and design for repairs of the dock wall along the west side of the Indiana Harbor Canal; and hundreds of Engineering Crane and Runway Analyses, consisting of full and targeted inspections of multiple girder overhead cranes, EOT Crane Runways, and building structural members throughout Cleveland Cliffs facilities, has progressively improved the condition of critical assets.
